Zoats aka Zucchini Oatmeal (Base recipe)

Recipe was shown by 3 youtubers that I follow: Leandra Parker, Josie Mai, and HumerusFitness. I have changed it up providing a more baseline recipe which you can alter to become any flavor that you wish. I made mine to be a peanut butter and jelly zoats since I am a pb&j fanatic!

This is great if you are cutting or dieting. also a great way to get some extra vegetables in for the day.

30g old fashioned oats
225g zucchini, finely grated
1/2 cup water
1 scoop protein powder (30-40g) (I used trutein peanut butter marshmallow )
1/4 cup water or milk
5g flax seed

1. In a microwave safe bowl add the oats, grated zucchini and enough water to cover;
2. Microwave on high for 3 minutes;
3. Carefully remove the bowl from the microwave (will be very hot);
Stir through the vanilla protein powder and 1/4 water reheat for 1 min .
Let it sit for 1-2 minutes it will be super hot (trust me I burned my mouth enough times to learn to wait at least 2 minutes even though it is a torturous 2 minutes)
Dust with cinnamon and top with your favorite fruit, nuts, berries or whatever your heart desires
I put peanut butter and jelly on mine after i took the picture .


Yes it is green, no you cannot taste the zucchini… is it very filling? oh yes it is!!

If you don’t like that it is green, then i suggest that you use chocolate protein powder and 5-10 grams Hershey’s cocoa powder and a little extra sweetener. then it wont be green it will be super chocolaty.. yum!!
